The sidequest

This is the winter version of the classic traverse of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. With snow you don't have to stick to the marked path: you have more freedom to choose your line, always reading the mountain. I recommend it on touring skis, though it can be done on snowshoes. In summer the route is the same, but you must stay on the park's waymarked trails.
